Dr. Karina Argandona is a dedicated veterinarian with over two decades of experience. She graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2004. Throughout her career, Dr. Karina has had the privilege of working with a wide range of animals, from beloved pets to majestic wildlife and zoo animals. Her work has taken her across diverse environments in Australia and internationally, enriching her with a broad and adaptable skill set.
Dr. Karina's love for animals began in her childhood in Spain. Her family supported and encouraged her passion for creatures of all sizes, from dogs and cats to birds and frogs. When her family moved to Norway during her teenage years, Dr. Karina continued to nurture her fascination with animals, which laid the foundation for her future career in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Karina has had a diverse career, working in small animal practice and for several charitable organizations in the UK and Australia. Her passion for wildlife and zoo animals led her to pursue a 3-year residency in Wildlife Medicine and Zoo Animals at Massey University. This experience equipped her with valuable insights and skills, which she further developed while working at a zoological institution. She later returned to Australia to continue her dedicated work with both wildlife and domestic species.
Dr. Karina's personal journey into veterinary medicine and her exploration of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) were deeply influenced by her own health challenges, which she successfully managed through holistic therapies. Having completed her Diploma in TCVM through the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies (CIVT), she integrates these approaches into her veterinary practice.
